Founded in 2009 as Qommunicate, a company with a team of 2, the division’s success has seen it grow to become part of Siamo Group with a large team of Trainers and learners spread across the country.
The division initially started out working on contracts to support unemployed adults through Skills Support for the Unemployed (SSU) funding. This led to working very closely with employers, finding out what they wanted from an employee, with the focus mainly on skills gaps. Funding was sourced and utilised to address the main skills gaps of unemployed job seekers. The team’s efforts resulted in the successful placement of over 3000 people into work, a 95% success rate, with 65% successfully remaining in work for at least 6 months.
In 2016, the team became a division of Siamo Group, rebranding as Siamo Training and expanding to win funding for Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) contracts*. This funding is used to upskill the workers of clients we also support with recruitment and managed services.
The division’s remit has also expanded into the delivery of apprenticeships. As a member of the RoATP, Siamo Training works to deliver apprenticeships to any size employer, starting with SSW courses first and then progressing learners onto a regulated industry apprenticeship. This ensures the learner is able to refresh or fill any skills gaps in the core skills of English and Maths in order to get the most out of their Apprenticeship training.
The division is continuing to grow, working to establish a more skilled workforce by providing regulated industry training which addresses skills gaps and supports business growth.
